Package: gtk+2.0
Version: 2.24.5-2
Severity: important

The latest upgrade of GTK completely breaks the Synaptic package
manager. It starts up with empty category and package list, uses a lot
of CPU and always segfaults upon closing.
Downgrading to GTK 2.24.4 fixes this issue for now.
