Bug#628811: gvfs-bin: url handling broken

Package: gvfs-bin
Version: 1.8.2-1
Severity: important

for some time now, url handling by gvfs seems to be broken on my debian machine.
For example, "mailto:" urls don't work at all:

$ gvfs-open mailto:test at test.com
gvfs-open: mailto:///test@test.com: error opening location: The specified location is not supported

I have evolution registered as my preferred email application.
