I’ve rebooted several times.
Anyway, I’ve just figured out what went wrong: I had updated gnome-shell,
network-manager and network-manager-gnome, but gir1.2-networkmanager-1.0
was outdated. Upgrading it to 0.8.9997-1 from experimental and restarting
the shell made the problem go away.
So the bug here is that the dependency on gir1.2-networkmanager-1.0 is
not versioned, while it probably should be, since apparentely gnome-shell
requires a recent enough version. The same might be true for other
introspection packages as well.
Cheers.
