Hi guys,
I've just applied a patch to hicolor-icon-theme in Ubuntu to marks the
package 'Multi-Arch: foreign'; this indicates, per
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MultiarchSpec>, that it will satisfy the
dependencies of packages of architectures other than the native
architecture.
It's perfectly safe to tag packages as Multi-Arch: foreign in advance of a
package manager that's capable of understanding this (which should be along
soon in any case), so I request that this be set on the package in Debian as
well. For the most part, though, hicolor-icon-theme is a Recommend rather
than a Depend, so this is a low-priority issue... I patched it in Ubuntu
mainly to have a clean apt output when cross-installing gtk.
Thanks,
