Bug#627946: gconf2 settings for panel doesn't add objects of type "menu-object" correctly

Because where panel items are added go in the "gconf" folder.  So, I 
naturally assumed that is where the problem was at.  Do you know of a 
better package than gconf for this issue?  If so, I'll gladly put the 
bug report against it.
