The removal in wheezy/sid of gdm and installation of gdm3 has rendered my gnome
desktop less usable than ms windows 3.1. Gdm3 vanished all panel/desktop short
cut icons. The Places menu short cuts items open Mplayer. In Applications any
mouse button simply opens the application chosen, no other option. On the now
bare desktop any mouse click does nothing. I did not expect to wave bye bye to
Gnome so soon.
