Absolutely: "Every package must specify the dependency information about

totem-mozilla is neither required nor does it belong to gnome. So why this
sucking dependency?

That's what I ask. Why is or should gnome be dependend on totem-mozilla? I
use another player, for example. I do not understand why I should be
forced to keep totem-mozilla on my system. That's totally stupid and not
in Debian's sense.
So why not change it recommends: or suggests: ??? Is there at least one
reason?
I cannot find any.
