Bug#648615: [Solved] Latest update of nautilus in unstable has removed everything from desktop

Michael,

Thank you very much! This did indeed do the trick and restored my right click menu:
     gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background show-desktop-icons true
    
I lost my desktop background and items don't unminimize when I click on
them in the gnome-panel, but those are less important.
