Hi all,
I know nowadays everyone as 59 inch monitors, but my small laptop
is not like that with vertical 900 dots resolution.
Now, if in iceweasel I click the right mouse button there normally pops
up a transient window with some options, the top normally being
Open link in new tab
If that is a photo with a link the list is quiet long, so what happens
if the link is somewhere in the middle or slightly below the screen,
is that the transient window opens to the top and not the bottom.
BUT, here comes gnome-shell into the game, it seems that gnome-shell
somehow tricks applications into believing that the top bar is
not existing or can be covered, because often the top line of the
transient window is just behind the gnome-shell top bar and cannot
be activated.
I have to first scroll the window a bit up and down until I find
a proper position.
I attach a screenshot of that effect.
That is *quite* disturbing, I mean it breaks completely normal
and default usage patterns.
It seems that gnome-shell is cheating about the top bar and
window properties in some way.
