Package: notification-daemon
Version: 0.7.3-1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/lib/notification-daemon/notification-daemon
I see a decent number of debug messages that notification-daemon writes
to stdout or stderr and which therefore end up in .xsession-errors. The
Unix Way is, unless otherwise requested, to operate silently unless an
error occurs. If these messages do indicate a real error, please fix
that error; otherwise, please silence them.
My goal is to have a completely empty .xsession-errors except for actual
errors (which will then be reported as bugs in their own right).
Example messages:
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Adding id 5
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Notification closed - removing from queue
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Removing id 5
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Adding id 6
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Already showing bubbles
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Bubble destroyed
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Bubble is transient
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Bubble destroyed
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Bubble is transient
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Notification closed - removing from queue
** (notification-daemon:2773): DEBUG: Removing id 6
