Bug#642415: please add multi-arch support for libgnome

This patch is not acceptable since it introduces a circular dependency.

Completely unrelated, but how about fixing firefox so that it uses
modern APIs? (We still need a multiarched libgnome for a lot of
packages, just pointing out.)
