Bug#630550: update-manager: Stalls again

Package: update-manager
Severity: normal

Second time this year, update-manager going nuts again. You guessed it: it's UbuntuWare ;)

Behavior appeared today with an outstanding suggested update (notification going red). Manager does use 100% cpu and is unresponsive.
Needs to be killed via a root shell.

IMHO: please get rid of this piece of python-crap with Wheezy release.
It's obviously not even seperating the gui from the worker thread. I don't even want to look deeper in its sources.
