I couldn't reproduce the issue on my computer but then we looked at it
together with Christophe Siraut (see previous mail about this bug
report) and finally nailed it to some bad MIME interaction; in his
case the legal.xml file XIncluded in gnome-terminal.xml had somehow
been associated to some buzztard file type, removing buzztard fixed
the issue.

Eliad (and others), could you check (for example with Nautilus
property page) what's the mimetype associated to the XML documentation
files? (/usr/share/gnome/help/gnome-terminal/C/*.xml for example)
