Package: gnome-settings-daemon
Version: 3.4.2+git20121218.7c1322-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I think this bug might relate to my laptop, Samsun RV520, as I have had similar
bugs on debian/gnome based systems in the past. When using the lower brightness
shortcut (fn-down), it only lowers the brightness slightly (I will attach two
screenshots, showing it at "maximum" and "minimum", and you will see it
recognises that it is only slightly less than maximum.
I can however lower it using "brightness and lock" in gnome-system-settings,
but this brightness increases with a logout and back in, and sometimes even
before that, over time.
My screen is painfully bright on maximum, so it is a fairly serious issue. I'm
not sure if this bug relates to Xorg, as Xorg %CPU increases when I use the
shortcuts.
