Package: brasero
Version: 3.2.0-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

Trying to burn a data DVD.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Started the actual burn process.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Got as far as doing the image checksum, then failed, with the following in the
log:

BraseroGrowisofs stdout: Executing 'genisoimage -r -J -dvd-video -graft-points
-path-list /tmp/brasero_tmp_IZAR8V -exclude-list /tmp/brasero_tmp_W0AR8V
-print-size -f /tmp/brasero_tmp_QCcblG | builtin_dd of=/dev/sr1 obs=32k seek=0'
BraseroGrowisofs called brasero_job_set_dangerous
BraseroGrowisofs stderr: :-( unable to execute genisoimage: No such file or
directory
BraseroGrowisofs stderr: HUP
BraseroGrowisofs stdout: HUP
BraseroGrowisofs process finished with status 5
BraseroGrowisofs called brasero_job_error
BraseroGrowisofs finished with an error
BraseroGrowisofs asked to stop because of an error
        error           = 0
        message = "no message"
BraseroGrowisofs stopping
Session error : unknown (brasero_burn_record brasero-burn.c:2859)

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

It would be nice if the error was reported more clearly in the GUI. It would be
nice if there was an option to show the log rather than making the user save it
somewhere. But more to the point, I fixed this very simply by installing the
genisoimage package. I see it's not a dependency right now, and that doesn't
seem to make sense.
