Bug#589186: When will the fix make it into the mainline?

The corresponding Gnome bug #620240 has been marked as fixed on 1/18, 
and there is a patch available for gtk+2.0-2.20.1/debian. When will this 
patch make it into the Debian Squeeze stable mainline?

Is there an ETA? This bug is greatly annoying, something that used to 
work great before, and I'm wondering why it is being open for 18 months 
now. Where are the people who care about the usability of Debian?
