Since this is an upstream wish bug, could you please post a bug report 
on https://bugzilla.gnome.org/browse.cgi?product=ekiga ?

Also, could you please explain how a nox version should work?  Will 
there be a video exchange?  Will there be no GUI?  Could you receive 
calls or it is only for sending calls?  Etc.
