Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

a software update

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

nothing but installed the update.

  * What was the outcome of this action?

windows doesnt get any window lists. all frameless windows starts in the upper
left corner. it is impossible to raise or focus other windows. pulldown menues
opens just to dissapear so they are useless. gnome menues works the same.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

A perfectly working system.
