Package: gvfs-daemons
Version: 1.12.3-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Basically the most annoyng symptom something is wrong is the
non-presence of internal or external drives in the Thunar listings and
options to mount and mount and open such drives.
Additionally no internal or external drive is shown in Gtk open/save
dialogs.

Further information hopefully useful:

On Xfce 4.8, with no display manager.
Contents of ~/.xintirc is:
exec ck-launch-session startxfce4

(which proved to work to get the now not working drive display and
automount)

Drives mounted in /etc/fstab are correctly shown and handled.

Anything Gtk (including Thunar itself) triggering open/save
functionality will print the following warning:

GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **: invoking IsSupported() failed for remote
volume monitor with dbus name org.gtk.Private.GduVolumeMonitor:
org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ChildSignaled: Process
/usr/lib/gvfs/gvfs-gdu-volume-monitor received signal 6

Kind regards,
Lorenzo.
