Package: gksu
Version: 2.0.2-6
Followup-For: Bug #611343
Dear Maintainer,
I have the same problem. It started some time ago (maybe 1-2 months). I was
hoping that the problem will be reported by someone else, but it looks like the
focus is elsewhere atm. ;-)
Currently it's not possible to start any programm via gksu. The programm simply
does not terminate nor do anything.
For example when I start gedit via gksu I get these processes:
1000 8843 0.0 0.0 164796 6916 pts/0 S+ 08:33 0:00 gksu gedit
root 8848 0.0 0.0 159796 3584 pts/2 Ss+ 08:33 0:00 /bin/su root
-c /usr/lib/libgksu/gksu-run-helper "gedit"
They stay there and don't start anything or die (at least not in the 15 minutes
I was looking at them)
Please fix this :-)
As a workaround:
Start your software with sudo. This still works for me.
