   * What led up to the situation?

I'm running GNOME3 fallback.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

I charged my battery.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

The battery status icon still looks like my battery is half-charged
(2 bars out of 3).
The tooltip that appears when I mouse-over the icon correctly states
it is charged, though.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I expect the battery status icon to reflect the current state of
my battery. In this case, that would be 3 bars out of 3.
