I'm thinking whether it might be helpful to put a reference to the
discussion here, like "e.g. by preventing nm to start as discussed in
#688772".

Also, with my tech ctte member hat on, I don't think I mind to have
the technical fixes applied pre-wheezy (however it might be useful to
have someone additionally to the nm maintainer in the loop to avoid
further misunderstandings, at least pre-wheezy). (I however fear it is
too late, so I'm not sure we should put something in about the
pre-wheezy.)
