Bug#693588: evince: printing some modified pdf file leads to a file with only some letters

I need to use a script to have a better printing for some pdf files.
Mainly, I need to put several pages on a single page without having margins
added.

Since an old update of evince (since gnome3 I think), evince is unable to print
the files coming from my script.
When I try to print such a file, only first letters of some lines appear.
It does not depend on the printer, as it is the same when I print to file, and
even the preview shows few letters.

However I found one program able to print my file : epdfview.
I guess evince does too difficult things to print a file, while epdfview is
much simpler.

Files are attached : my original pdf file (handout.pdf), my script
(print_handout), the output of evince from the original file
(print_out_from_original.pdf), the file after the script that I would like to
print (handout_after_script.pdf), and the output of evince from the scripted
file (print_out_from_scripted_file.pdf).
