Package: gnome-screensaver
Version: 3.6.0-1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
I had to switch to kdm as gdm3 was failing to start normally. See #692814
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
I chose GNOME from the desktop environments list in kdm and logged in and tried
to lock the screen.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Screen was not getting locked as gnome-screensaver was not running.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
I should be able to lock my system irrespective of the display manager I chose.
Did anything change between the way a dm starts a session? Could it be a bug in
gnome-session or kdm?
