That helped. After taking some time to figure out that I had not
actually installed the build patched packages, it *worked* indeed!
Brasero even plays a sound on success.

Mounting the image works and just for completeness here is the ISO9660
header(?).

Hmm, it encodes the name in there. To all whistle blowers out there: Do
not use Brasero without configuring beforehand. ;-)
