Bug#690689: /usr/share/man/man1/evince.1.gz: man page contains duplicate description of -p, should be -i

Package: evince-common
Version: 3.4.0-3
Severity: minor
File: /usr/share/man/man1/evince.1.gz

The following is an excerpt of man 1 evince:

| -p, --page-label=PAGE
| Open the document on the page with the specified page label (or page number).
|
| -p, --page-index=NUMBER
| Open the document on the page with the specified page index (this is the exact page number, not a page label).

Please observe that -p is explained twice in incompatible ways. For
comparison see this excerpt of evince --help:

| -p, --page-label=PAGE The page label of the document to display.
| -i, --page-index=NUMBER The page number of the document to display.

This indicates that the second -p from the manpage should be -i.

While looking through the bug reports to avoid duplicates I stumbled
upon bugs #444857 and #650934. They request more documentation in --help
and the manual page. As far as I can see both bugs appear to be fixed in
the version mentioned above. You might want to close those bugs after
double checking them.

Helmut
