There are no other themes than Adwaita available for GTK+ 3. So maybe
you can ask again when they exist.

Upstream allows this, and it’s a mess. Instead, you can select “GNOME
Classic” from the login prompt.

Please bring such string/UI changes upstream first.

Indeed. That one is probably easy to fix, but OTOH it’s not a very
important issue so it’s a bit late for wheezy.
