About gnome-settings-daemon-3.8 needing systemd

Hello

When packaging Gnome 3.8 for Gentoo, we noticed
gnome-settings-daemon-3.8 dropped all its old compatibility code and,
then, now needs systemd/logind for power and session management:

If I don't misremember, Debian/Ubuntu won't migrate to systemd in the
near future (like Gentoo) and, then, I would like to know what are your
plans to handle this in the near future.
