Bug#673824: gnome-shell: generally 100%cpu and then no response

Hi,

Since the upgrade to Gnome-Shell 3.8 landed in testing, a kill -9 no
longer fixes the problem, the screen will stay blank,with just the mouse
pointer after the kill.
A reboot is required to get things running smoothly again.
