Dear James,
A user here. I just saw and used the gnome-documents. There is now a .pdf at :-

/usr/share/gnome-documents/getting-started/C/gnome-documents-getting-started.pdf

There is also a manpage at :-

/usr/share/man/man1/gnome-documents.1.gz

Maybe this bug can be closed.
