The following commands:

    $ rm ~/.gstreamer-0.10/registry.*.bin
    $ gst-inspect-0.10 > /dev/null

works around the problem for me. Invoking ‘sound-juicer’ now succeeds.

But this is only a work-around; we can't expect users to seek out and
manually run those commands after some packaged change to the GStreamer
system.

If those commands are needed from some upgrade of GStreamer, could you
please file a bug report against the appropriate package that these
commands (or the equivalent) are needed to ensure a smooth upgrade for all
users?
