Something that might shed light on this bug:
>From a normal terminal (or from ALT+F2) do:
gksu xterm &
It starts up xterm without any issues.
Then from the xterm window do
gnome-terminal &
The following error message comes up:
Error constructing proxy for
org.gnome.Terminal:/org/gnome/Terminal/Factory0: Error calling
StartServiceByName for org.gnome.Terminal:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ChildExited: Process
/usr/lib/gnome-terminal/gnome-terminal-server exited with status 1
Unsetting the DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS does nothing to eliminate the
problem.
