probably aptitude safe-upgrade of my testing instal yesterday (first time after
wheezy release). eg: kernel 3.2 ->3.9

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
-closed computer lid to suspend the computer
-some time later, open computer lid to use the computer
-open a new gnome-terminal window
   * What was the outcome of this action?
-font corruption on gnome terminal: letter 'o' doesn't display properly
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
-proper display of letter o
