Bug#708279: gnome-session-fallback: screen doesn't fully refresh when metacity is used as compositing-manager

Dear Maintainer,

when tool tips associated with items in the panel dissappear, their 
window
shadow remain (see attached screen dump). Metacity is used as 
compositing-manager.

Expected behaviour is that the screen should be fully updated when 
windows come
and go.
