Yes, nothing works for me.  As I tried to describe quite verbosely I can
deal with this "screen shield" when I do some suspend to RAM via
commandline.  That's fine and works as you described.  The difference is
when I use it from the gdm3 interface.  When I wake up afterwards I can
press whatever button I want - nothing happens at all.
