Opening a large logfile (3 GB) in gnome-system-log.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
Program exited, gdb says

(gnome-system-log:8666): Gtk-CRITICAL **: _gtk_text_line_char_locate: assertion
`char_offset >= 0' failed

(gnome-system-log:8666): Gtk-ERROR **: Char offset -2147483617 is off the end
of the line

Program received signal SIGTRAP, Trace/breakpoint trap.
0x00007ffff5ee9491 in g_logv () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libglib-2.0.so.0
