Hi,

gnome-terminal as installed is set to use system default color for text
and background. Let's start it under different DE:

Under GNOME3, gnome-terminal is black text on white background.
Under XFce, gnome-terminal is black text on black background.
Under KDE, gnome-terminal is black text on black background.

If I configure this terminal to a custom setting by unchecking "use
color from system theme" under "Color" tab, things work as expected
(Green on Black) for all cases. So problem is the default background
color setting value nterpretation is different for DEs.

This needs to be fixed properly.

(Under KDE, I started gnome-terminal from another console, terminal size
seems strange. That is another story.)

Osamu
