Bug#723146: libcogl12: Segfault of evolution and empathy in libcogl12

Dear Maintainer,

Both Evolution and Empathy stopped working here after an
"aptitude full-upgrade" of my Debian testing machine.

They just give me a segmentation fautl before displaying anything.
I only see the following messages on the command-line:

   % /usr/bin/empathy     
   Xlib:  extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0".
   Xlib:  extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0".
   zsh: segmentation fault (core dumped)  /usr/bin/empathy
   %

plus the following matching message in the logs:

Sep 16 15:34:10 faina user.info kernel: [443679.555247] empathy[7632]: segfault at 8 ip b46082c9 sp bff5b680 error 4 in libcogl.so.12.1.1[b45a1000+99000]

The machine has 2 framebuffer devices (one gma500 and one displaylink)
combined into one via xinerama.
