Package: gnome-bluetooth
Version: 3.8.1-2
Severity: normal
Hi,
it is impossible to send files from the GNOME desktop to any other device via
bluetooth when obexd-client >= 0.48 is installed. Unfortunately, that is the
version currently in testing and unstable. Thw following error message appears:
"The name org.openobex.client was not provided by any .service files"
According to upstream in [1,2] this has been "fixed" by porting gnome-
bluetooth to Bluez 5 which has merged obexd. I am not sure if upstream has ever
been ported to the obexd 0.48 API. so we have to either revert to obexd 0.46 in
Debian or backport the Bluez 5 API changes. :/
