Bug#724731: [gdm3] gdm does not start properly, cannot login via gdm

Hi,

I updated to 3.8 today, and after restarting the gdm3, I cannot login
anymore. Gdm3 somehow starts (graphics are visible) but the login field
is missing.

:0-slave.log says:

Verbindung ist gescheitert:Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden

(gdm-simple-slave:19770): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref:

:0-greeter.log has bazillions of lines like:

(gnome-settings-daemon:19268): dconf-CRITICAL **: unable to create
directory '/run/user/1000/dconf': Keine Berechtigung.  dconf will not
work properly.


Switching to terminal and starting via startx works properly.

This might be related to #681282.


Thanks for packaging Gnome3, I'm sure keeping track of all the
transitions is a hell of a job!
