Bug#725041: gnome-shell: using google calendar as source gives appointments from ages ago on every year

Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.4.2-16
Severity: important
Hi,
I have tried to use my google account for my calendar in gnome3,
but the outcome was desasterous.
Appointments that were set *years* ago appear this year, in fact
*all* appointments from all previous years from the same day are
merged, at least so it seams.
This makes the calendar completely useless, since the entries are
a huge long list of long forgotten items and the important things
that are actually happening these days are lost.
It would be nice if that could be fixed in some way, or an advice
how to fix this in one way or the other.
THis is in contrast to contacts, which work nicely.
All the best
Norbert
