Bug#743646: gnome-panel: cannot add notification area applet in gnome-panel top area in gnome-panel 3.8 on gnome-flashback

Dear Maintainer,
   * What led up to the situation?

I had removed the top panel
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)?

I tried to add the notification area applet to the gnome-panel by
clicking ALT+ mouse-right click.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Nothing.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

The notification area should have come. Some of the other applets are
working fine.

Looking forward to a solution.
