Bug#743810: libcogl20: Visual artifacts in gnome shell activities view

Dear Maintainer,

in most cases (>80%) I see grave visual artifacts in gnome shell activities
view (I'll add a screencast showing the typical behavior).
These artifacts won't change in the course of one session; the only way to get
a normal activities view is to log out and back in again and again – because
sometimes it 'just works' (and then I don't see any artifacts for the whole
session).

I get these artifacts when I use only one monitor (the notebook-monitor or an
external one) or two (both), this doesn't seem to make any difference. In some
rare cases I also get another behavior were the 'shadow effect' when I enter
the activities view just won't work. I'll try to add a screencast showing this
behavior as well.

This is a regression, I first encountered this problem around the time when
gnome shell 3.8 made it to Testing. First I thought it'd be a mesa bug, so I
filed a bug upstream: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73225. In
the meantime I tested some other distros (Fedora and UbuntuGNOME) and I
couldn't reproduce the issue.

Some weeks ago I reported my problem in two IRCs (#debian-desktop and #debian-
gnome) and people there told me that this is probably a cogl bug and that I
should wait for the libcogl20 transition (which was completed last week) before
reporting the bug. For now, I'm still affected by this bug.
