* What led up to the situation?
Try to add a keyboard layout using "Region and language", start 
typing the name of the language.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Scrolling up and down looking for the language.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Segmentation Fault
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Narrow down the list.

This is the output from running the control center from the command line:
