After a quick test with Debian 7 installed it looks like I'm unable to
reproduce the issue with 1:3.4.3.1-2 from stable, even though it doesn't
seem to include that patch (perhaps it should be backported to 3.4
nevertheless).

I can't reproduce the original issue on Debian unstable installation
with 1:3.8.3-5 either.
