Package: evince
Version: 3.12.0-1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream
This is probably a subtle interaction between evince, poppler and printer
driver. When a color document is printed with "print in grayscale" marked in
the Canon MG54xx driver it is send to the printer in color anyway. At the same
time printing from libreoffice (e.g.) works as expected. Furthermore the same
pdf file printed from acroread (adobe reader) prints as expected. I suspect
some incorrect interaction (maybe some params not passed to the next stages of
the pipeline) on the way to the printer driver. I will be happy to help in
debugging this issue. Unfortunately I do not know where to start digging.
Judging from the fact that the same error is present in ubuntu 14.04 the
problem is probably present upstream.
