Bug#758148: similar old bug

I found this old bug report and it looks very similar to what I am
seeing.

In the report, in comment #36, it says to add 

export CLUTTER_PAINT=disable-clipped-redraws:disable-culling

to /etc/gdm/Xsession

On my Debian jessie computer, I do not see /etc/gdm/Xsession.  Any ideas
on where I should add the export to try it?
