Bug#730555: any chance to elaborate on how to fix this?

to answer my own request for details:

# start your system
# when it counts down to start linux, hit "e" to edit
# go to the line that says "linux" and add the option " init=/bin/systemd "
anywhere on that line
# hit F10 to boot

For me this fixed both problems temporarly. I would still appreciate a hint on
how to fix it permanently. /boot/grub/grub.cfg and /etc/grub.d/README are not
enough of a hint for me to fix it :/
