I have installed jessie/sid recently on a new laptop and since then, with
sloppy focus mode, or without (may be less frequently), mouse gets
"stuck":

1 cursor doesn't move
2 click events (to select, paste etc) do not reach windows

3 may be related: in some cases mouse cursor icon gets duplicated and one of
  them gets permanently affixed to the screen (until suspend/resume or
  something else -- didn't spot),

the quick remedy for 1+2 is to go to go to overview mode (press Super) and back
(Super again).  That triggers mouse events to be handled properly again

I haven't yet determined what causes the stall.  Any advise on how to
troubleshoot/provde more information would be appreciated.
