gdm3 and gnome stopped to work after an update of jessie early november.
Gdm3 crash and displays: Oh No! Something has gone wrong
to start a graphical session I then configured Lightdm as the default display
manager
using Lightdm if I select Gnome session gnome crash and display : Oh No!
Something has gone wrong
while with lightdm choosing a cinnamon session, the desktop starts normally.
I thought this bug would be solved by new version of nvidia-driver (as
mentioned in bug 767803)
but even after latest update of jessie with nvidia-driver 340.46-6 the problem
persists.
my graphic card is an nvidia getforce GTX 670
as a result while this bug exist I cant run neither gnome nor gdm3 on my
system.
regards
Bruno
